Ham Radio

Home Wayne's hamfest dream

It's apparent I've spent WAY too much time exposed to the effects of transmitters...

NCC1701 Take me to your leader...

Radio++
This obsession started when I was ten years old.  I'm not too active lately
but I haven't sold a thing!  Just waiting for sunspots to bake me a bit.

Here are the callsigns I've had over the years:

  1. KCZ-4766  27 "Megacycles".  At least you could talk with CB.

  2. WN2NWK - Novice.  Used a Drake CW transmitter unsuccessfully once at RIT.  I wasn't exactly CW ready.

  3. WB2NWK - Technician.  Got this ticket during my first lone trip to Dallas in 1974.

  4. WA2GTX - Advanced.  Got 65 morse code characters right in a row after breaking the pencil during the first 3 of 5 minutes.

  5. WA2N - Extra.  Thanks to W2UB K2AOQ and NZ2N.

  6. HAM software I've written you can use:

Satellite Tracking / Scheduling / Rotor Control: Now Y2K compliant freeware
  SS1970.ZIP January 7, 2000

Keep your PC's clock accurate for accurate satellite tracking:
clock.wmf (10550 bytes) FIXTIME.ZIP Nov. 10, 1994

Change the modem mode of your DSP-12 from the DOS command line:
BS00548A.gif (2200 bytes) DSPMODE.ZIP Oct. 24, 1994
